Job summary

Wayve is seeking a Director of Fleet Operations Execution to own the health, performance, and on-road risk posture of Fleet Operations globally, leading a team of teams across UK, US, Germany, and Japan through regional Heads of Fleet Ops.

Day to day, you will set and enforce standards, KPIs, and performance metrics, own incident response for high-severity events, and collaborate with Safety and Technical Operations to operationalize testing while balancing safety with commercial needs.

Qualifications

• Experience leading global multi-site teams of 100+ people through a layer of leaders.
• Experience operating in and leading through R&D, product development, testing/validation cycles with engineering partners.
• Sound judgement and decisiveness in safety-critical, high-stakes situations.
• Proven ability to set and enforce performance standards, KPIs, and accountability across leaders.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop a team of teams across a 300+ person global organization through regional Heads of Fleet Ops.
• Serve as the authoritative decision-maker on on-road risk and safety in complex situations.
• Own incident response execution for high-severity events across geographies, at the escalation top.
• Balance operational requirements, safety, and commercial objectives in major decisions.
• Drive global consistency of operations through clear KPIs and performance metrics, holding regional leads to a high bar.
• Collaborate with Safety, Technical Operations, and other cross-functional teams to operationalize testing of features and milestones.
• Proactively surface risks and gaps across regions and programs for structured reviews and course corrections.
• Maintain a single global operating standard while managing nuances of multiple internal and external programs.
