Job summary

Chase UK is seeking a Financial Crimes Control Manager within the International Consumer Bank to help build a robust control environment, drive risk-based decision making, and collaborate across teams to mitigate operational and regulatory risk.

You will lead development of enhanced control frameworks, oversee risk assessments for product changes, and partner with legal, compliance, risk, audit and technology to ensure timely issue detection and remediation.

Qualifications

• Experience in Operational Risk Management within a large financial institution, regulator, consulting firm or retail investments manager.
• Ability to identify and develop effective control mechanisms that mitigate risks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to influence leaders at all levels.
• Experience partnering with business and other stakeholders to remediate operational risk issues.
• Experience in process mapping.
• Effective time management and prioritization skills.
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy and integrity.
• Comfortable working in an agile and evolving environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

Responsibilities

• Assist the design and implementation of control frameworks to ensure regulatory compliance with internal policies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify risks associated with new and existing products and develop mitigation strategies.
• Conduct risk assessments for product development and change initiatives, ensuring risks are identified, evaluated and addressed.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls and recommend improvements as needed.
• Assess the impact of regulatory changes and penalties across the industry to identify actions.
• Advise on control processes and risk management practices, fostering a proactive culture across International Consumer Bank.
• Contribute to the CORE programme focusing on Control Design & Expertise, Risks & Controls Identification, Issue Management and Control Governance & Reporting.
• Partner with control colleagues across the firm, business, operations management, legal, compliance, risk, audit and technology control functions to maintain relationships.
• Support consistent operational risk practices and control programs, including committee reporting, risk mitigation, KPI tracking and controls evaluations.
• Review, analyze and manage data like KRIs and KPIs to inform on the health of the control environment.
