Job summary

Bottomline is seeking a hands-on Financial Accountant to join our General Ledger Accounting team. You will own the accounting and close for our Swiss entity in Geneva and provide support across the wider EMEA region.

You will manage month-end close, balance sheet controls, audits, intercompany and treasury activities, while partnering with FP&A and business stakeholders globally in a dynamic, international environment.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on financial accounting and general ledger experience in international or multi-entity settings.
• Profound understanding of month-end close, accruals, prepayments and P&L reviews.
• Experience with audits and statutory reporting, across entities and regions.
• Comfortable collaborating with international finance colleagues and businesses.
• Solid financial systems skills and ability to analyse detailed accounting data.
• Ability to blend technical accounting with clear business partnering communication.
• Willingness to adapt to evolving processes and a dynamic environment.
• CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent qualification preferred, including near-qualification candidates.

Responsibilities

• Own general ledger accounting and month-end close for the Swiss entity and support other EMEA entities.
• Prepare and review entries including accruals, prepayments, payroll, expenses and payables.
• Conduct P&L reviews and balance sheet reconciliations; investigate movements.
• Manage asset capitalisation and amortisation, including developer time.
• Support annual statutory audits with auditors and internal stakeholders.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual close processes with timely reporting.
• Provide cost analysis and accounting inputs to FP&A and business partners.
• Assist intercompany, tax and treasury accounting queries across the group.
