Job summary

Bottomline seeks a hands-on Financial Accountant to join the General Ledger Accounting team. You will own the accounting and month-end close for our Swiss entity in Geneva and provide support across the wider EMEA organisation.

The role requires strong technical accounting, balance sheet control, and collaboration with FP&A and international colleagues. You will manage accruals, prepayments, payroll, expenses, AP and other month-end adjustments, perform P&L reviews, and support statutory audits.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in financial accounting, general ledger or management accounting.
• Experience with month-end close, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Audits experience including statutory or external audits.
• Experience working across multiple entities and international finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Own general ledger and month-end close for the Swiss entity and support other EMEA entities.
• Prepare and review entries including accruals, prepayments, payroll, expenses and AP.
• Perform P&L reviews and reconciliations, investigate movements.
• Oversee asset accounting, including capitalisation and amortisation.
• Support statutory audits and provide information to auditors.
• Assist with cash flow forecasting and treasury activities.
• Collaborate with FP&A and business partners to analyse costs and movements.
• Drive process improvements, internal controls and automation where possible.
• Contribute to month-end close meetings and finance governance.
