Job summary
Infinitesima is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, commission and service advanced metrology systems worldwide from our Abingdon base. You will work directly with global customers, diagnosing complex issues across electromechanical, optical and software-controlled platforms, and you will be critical to uptime and performance.
Based in Abingdon, you’ll travel internationally up to 20% and contribute to building a scalable, world-class customer support function while mentoring
Qualifications
- Proven track record installing, maintaining or troubleshooting complex technical equipment.
- Willing to travel internationally up to 20% of time.
- Degree in Engineering, Physics or related subject; equivalent experience considered.
Responsibilities
- Install, commission and upgrade advanced metrology systems at customer sites worldwide.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and corrective repair work.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, optical and system faults.
- Support customers remotely and on-site to maintain performance.
- Monitor system performance and pre-empt issues.
- Train and mentor distributors and customer service teams.
- Feed customer insights back to engineering for product improvements.
- Support production and commissioning at Abingdon HQ as needed.
