Global Field Service Engineer – Marine & Naval Systems

Job summary

HENSOLDT UK (Kelvin Hughes Limited) seeks a Field Service Engineer to support naval, commercial, and shore-based radar systems worldwide. The role is field-based with UK and overseas travel, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer training duties.

You will complete service reports, liaise with Customer Services, and uphold safety standards. Required: ONC (preferred) and Tower Climbing & Rescue in progress, driving licence and valid passport.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
• Knowledge of basic networking and computer hardware/software.
• Willingness to travel UK and overseas.

Responsibilities

• Carry out service interventions including installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and acceptance tests.
• Assist with customer training.
• Complete detailed service reports and expenses on completion of each activity in a timely manner.
• Support Customer Services Technical Helpdesk by responding to customer emails and, when required, writing Technical Advice Sheets.
• Communicate effectively with line management any information relating to technical issues seen in the field.
• Strive for Quality, Improvement and Customer Satisfaction.
• Familiarise and observe all Health and Safety rules and regulations during working hours.
• On occasions be prepared to work beyond 37 hours or anti-social hours while observing contractual obligations.
• Any other tasks associated with this role.
