Job summary

Avtron Power Solutions LLC seeks an experienced Field Service Engineer to join the Customer Support team in the Stamford area. The role covers fault-finding, repair, commissioning, testing and maintenance of Load Bank and Dynamometer equipment at customer sites worldwide, with remote support and occasional travel.

The position requires hands-on technical skills, strong communication and the ability to work independently in a customer-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum ONC or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Structured apprenticeship or formal technical training desirable.
• Proven ability to fault-find electrical/mechanical issues.
• Willingness to travel worldwide and operate in customer-facing roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct technical support to customers via telephone, remote and on-site.
• Carry out commissioning, testing, and maintenance of Load Bank and Dynamometer equipment.
• Manage warranties and service activities to meet customer and Avtron satisfaction.
• Produce service reports and certification using SAP Business One and related documentation.
• Collaborate with Sales, Design, Production and Customer Service to drive improvements.
