Job summary

Johnson Matthey Plc is seeking an Export Coordinator in Royston, UK. The role focuses on arranging transport for UK and international shipments and producing all required shipping documents, including invoices and Certificates of Origin. It is a hybrid position with on-site work once a week.

The successful candidate will work with a global leader in platinum group metals, supporting sales and customer service while ensuring regulatory compliance and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in export operations and documentation is essential.
• Ability to liaise with internal teams and external carriers.
• Knowledge of consignor and regulated agent requirements is desirable.
• Customer-focused mindset with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Arrange safe and secure transport of UK and international shipments with approved forwarders or carriers.
• Collect refining materials from customers for delivery to the site.
• Ensure timely shipment processing to meet delivery dates.
• Prepare shipping documents (Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificates of Origin, etc.).
• Liaise with carriers on delays, losses or damage and inform internal customers.
• Provide guidance on cost and risk of different shipping methods (Road, Sea, Air).
• Check and approve freight invoices for shipments.
• Ensure compliance with customs and export control procedures.
