Its programmes are designed to facilitate meaningful discussions, share practical insight and create valuable connections within a global professional community.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Global Events Manager to join an established international events organisation on a fixed-term maternity cover contract. You will manage and support the Events Team, oversee event logistics and budgets, and build strong relationships with event hosts, sponsors, venues and other stakeholders. From initial planning through to onsite delivery at international events, you will play a central role in coordinating the people, logistics and resources required for successful events. This role would suit a highly organised, proactive and solution-focused events professional who enjoys taking ownership in a fast-paced international environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Act as the key link between the Events Team and senior leadership, working closely with the CEO and COO, including regular weekly meetings, to ensure effective communication, planning, prioritisation and decision-making across the event calendar.
  • Lead the planning and delivery of global events, from initial planning and calendar development through to onsite delivery and post-event activity, ensuring events run smoothly, efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
  • Create and maintain the annual event calendar, coordinating multiple events, deadlines, resources and requirements across the programme.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with event hosts, sponsors, delegates, venues and other external stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact throughout the event process.
  • Oversee event logistics, including the selection and coordination of hotels, restaurants, flights, transfers, transportation and other event requirements.
  • Organise travel and logistics for event hosts, guest speakers, employees and attendees, ensuring arrangements are well planned and delivered effectively.
  • Manage and support the Events Team, including day-to-day coordination, team meetings, event cover and team development, while ensuring the team has the tools and information needed to deliver effectively.
  • Maintain event documentation, financial trackers and processes, create event pages and supporting information for the organisation’s website, and respond flexibly to changing event schedules and requirements.
Education & Skills Required
  • Previous experience in event management, ideally within an international or B2B events environment.
  • Previous experience managing and supporting a team, with confidence working closely with senior stakeholders and taking ownership of decisions and priorities.
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with event hosts, delegates, sponsors and other stakeholders.
  • A proactive, positive and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills, together with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
