Job summary

The Economist is seeking an experienced Event Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of Economist Enterprise Events. You will plan, coordinate and control project activities to meet organisational goals, budgets and timelines, working across international teams and with agency partners.

You will oversee conference operations, speaker/sponsor management, logistics and production design, while driving innovative event experiences and maintaining high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in event management, especially high-impact conferences.
• Strong planning, organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with international b2b events and managing speakers/sponsors.
• Proficiency with CRM systems is advantageous; MS Office and Google apps are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning meetings; manage agendas, minutes and actions.
• Coordinate internal teams across functions; liaison point for stakeholders.
• Oversee speaker and sponsorship management; develop case studies.
• Manage project budgets and timelines; ensure objectives are met.
• Oversee event operations: venue selection, apps, logistics, catering, signage, attendee experience.
• Influence event design and supervise agencies/contractors; ensure quality delivery.
