Job summary

Citi Global Markets seeks a Global Head of E-Trading Risk Management to lead 2LoD oversight for electronic and algorithmic trading. This role shapes enterprise risk framework, policies, and standards, partnering across risk stripes and ICRM to drive robust risk governance.

You will build senior relationships with regulators, influence executives, and translate complex technical risks into clear messages for the CRO, Board, and committees, while directing a global team of risk professionals.

Qualifications

• Exceptional written and verbal communication for senior stakeholders.
• Proven ability to influence and credibly challenge MDs and heads.
• Strong track record building consensus across risk, compliance, business and tech.
• 10-15+ years in financial services with electronic/algorithmic trading focus.
• Led highly technical risk or quantitative teams globally.
• Multi-asset knowledge across equities, fixed income, FX, commodities.

Responsibilities

• Govern and refine a unified E-Trading risk framework with ICRM.
• Own and improve firm-wide E-Trading risk policies and standards.
• Influence senior leaders to drive robust risk management globally.
• Translate complex trading risks into clear messages for committees and Board.
• Oversee 2LoD assessments of E-Trading implementations and controls.
• Direct a global team of E-Trading risk professionals.
• Represent 2LoD for E-Trading risk with regulators.
• Provide independent challenge on pre-/post-trade controls and system implementations.
• Drive analytics roadmap with KRIs, real-time monitoring, and AI/ML.
• Identify emerging AI/ML and cloud risks and incorporate into policy.
