Job summary

The Royal Academy of Dance in London is seeking a strategic Head of Professional Qualifications to shape the RAD's portfolio across dance, musical theatre and the wider performing arts. You will provide senior leadership, oversee qualification development, quality assurance and regulatory compliance, and help position RAD as a leading provider of professional qualifications worldwide.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field and proven leadership experience in qualifications or education.
• Strong understanding of qualification development, assessment, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
• Experience working within regulated education frameworks.
• Track record of developing new initiatives and driving improvement in education.
• Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Demonstrable knowledge of dance, musical theatre and the performing arts sector.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic development, regulatory compliance, quality assurance and delivery of the professional qualifications portfolio.
• Drive design innovation, identify new qualification pathways and growth opportunities.
• Build relationships with awarding bodies, regulators, employers and sector partners.
• Utilise learner data and sector intelligence to inform portfolio development.
• Lead, develop and empower teams to foster excellence and improvement.
• Champion learner achievement and professional progression.
