Job summary

Rotork, a market-leading flow control and instrumentation company, seeks a Global Category Manager for Machining in Leeds, UK. Lead the direct materials subcategory globally, shaping strategy, supplier development, and long-term value.

You will partner with Engineering, Quality, Operations and Finance to ensure supply continuity, negotiate with top-tier suppliers, and drive regional execution while aligning with a 3-year roadmap.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in procurement or category management within direct materials.
• Experience leading global and regional sourcing projects and supplier negotiations.
• Strong commercial acumen, contract management expertise, and analytical capability.
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Balance global strategy with regional execution; proficient in ERP and procurement systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead global strategy for direct materials subcategory and develop 3-year roadmap.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships worldwide and improve OTD/PPM.
• Drive category projects such as localisation, dual-sourcing, VA/VE.
• Execute sourcing strategy including RFx, long-term agreements, cost models, and TCO.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Operations and Finance to ensure supply continuity.
