Job summary

The Senior Design Manager will own the design process for a portfolio of datacenter projects, coordinating with Architectural, Mechanical and Electrical partners and ensuring compliance with Equinix standards and country-specific regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven years experience in a Design MEP Firm or in the design team of a Mission Critical Building operator or subcontractor.
• MSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering OR MSc in Architecture preferred; BSc acceptable with extensive experience.
• PE desirable but not essential

Responsibilities

• Owns and leads a design process with Architectural, Mechanical and Electrical Partners to deliver world-class datacenters.
• Reviews and contributes to globally standardized tools, techniques, and processes for design management and reporting.
• Works with regional teams to drive consistency and technical excellence on design and delivery practices.
• Liaises with centers of excellence to apply standards across regions and projects.
• Directly manages the design schedule and documentation to ensure timely permits and construction sets.
• Manages budgets and change control during construction in collaboration with regional teams.
