Job summary

HSBC is seeking an experienced Senior Data Risk Manager to lead oversight, governance and management of data risk across Global Private Banking and Wealth and Premier. You will ensure data risk is identified, escalated and mitigated through robust controls and risk management practices.

You will partner with first-line stakeholders to maintain residual risk at acceptable levels, shaping risk appetite, control design and reporting for senior governance forums in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience in data risk, non-financial risk, operational risk and controls management within financial services.
• Understanding of data governance concepts including data quality, lineage and security.
• Experience with risk assessment, control design, monitoring, governance and escalation in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead data risk identification and assessment across data quality, lineage, privacy and reporting.
• Own and oversee the data risk and control framework, including minimum control requirements and evidence standards.
• Provide oversight of control monitoring arrangements and review breaches, trends and remediation needs.
• Lead risk and control governance forums for material data risk topics and maintain logs and escalation records.
• Support and oversee control testing and assurance outcomes with CMA and other reviews.
• Produce risk and control reporting and governance packs for senior forums.
