Job summary

HSBC Group in the United Kingdom seeks a specialist to partner with the GCIO Chief Control Office (CCO) to oversee the risk and control portfolio for the services provided to the Group by the CCO CTO.

You will lead a specialist control team within GCIO CCO supporting Technology Infrastructure, owning the design of controls for configuration baselines, obsolescence, IT Asset Management, Capacity Management, IT Service Acceptance and related cyber and third-party controls.

Qualifications

• Experience in risk assessments, control environments and audits.
• Ability to design practical controls for IT infrastructure.
• Experience in financial services or a regulated industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted advisor for senior management to manage operational risk, risk assessments, controls, and audits.
• Promote accountable risk decisions based on quality data and analysis.
• Provide specialist risk and control knowledge to improve the control environment.
• Advise and design processes and controls in a commercially viable, practical manner.
• Identify trends to anticipate future developments in risk and control.
• Provide updates to senior management on policy or project changes affecting risk.
