Job summary

Spencer Ogden in London is recruiting a Data Centre Strategic Accounts Manager to grow revenue across major Data Centre operators and hyperscalers, developing strategic relationships and guiding account strategy.

You will lead tender processes, influence senior decision-makers, coordinate with sales, engineering and bid teams, and benefit from an excellent commission structure and remote working options in Greater London.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of success within the Data Centre industry.
• Strong strategic/key account management and business development experience.
• Experience selling into large Data Centre operators / hyperscalers / colocation businesses.
• Established relationships with Data Centre customers, consultants and/or contractors.
• Demonstrable ability to identify, develop and close significant commercial opportunities.
• Good understanding of Data Centre design, infrastructure and operations.
• Technical or engineering background highly advantageous.
• Strong understanding of commercial tendering and bid processes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Comfortable operating at senior leadership and executive level.
• Entrepreneurial, commercially driven and highly customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Own, develop and execute strategic account plans for major Data Centre customers.
• Grow revenue, orders, pipeline and profitability across accounts.
• Build relationships with key decision-makers and influencers across Data Centre operators.
• Identify and engage with consultants, contractors and other stakeholders who can unlock future opportunities.
• Lead and oversee the tendering process, ensuring solutions align with customer requirements.
• Coordinate with regional and global sales teams, engineering, product management, marketing and bid teams.
• Maintain market intelligence and identify emerging Data Centre trends.
• Ensure successful handover to project management, services and customer support teams.
