Job summary

Spencer Ogden is seeking a Project Manager to lead a major data centre development in Surrey. You will coordinate civil, infrastructure and enabling works, manage budgets and stakeholders, and ensure compliant, safe delivery across all workstreams.

The role demands strong leadership of multidisciplinary teams, governance, and risk management, with a focus on profitability and timely handover of complex facilities.

Qualifications

• Seasoned professional with proven experience managing complex construction projects.
• Experience delivering civil, infrastructure, groundworks or CSA packages, ideally in data centres or mission-critical environments.
• Strong knowledge of earthworks, foundations, drainage, utilities, roads and external works and familiarity with NEC/JCT contracts.
• Experience forecasting, cost control and managing commercial performance.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate design, construction and interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery safely, on time and within budget.
• Establish governance, controls and accurate reporting across programme.
• Ensure contractual/ company compliance and stakeholder alignment.
• Drive accountability and high performance within the project team.
• Manage budgets, forecasts and cash flow; identify risks and opportunities.
• Coordinate design, construction and utilities interfaces for seamless delivery.
• Support client communications and handover to operations.
