Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Liverpool is seeking an experienced Customs Operations Manager to lead a team responsible for import, export and transit declarations, ensuring accuracy, compliance and excellent service. You will drive operational excellence, implement process improvements, manage recruitment and capacity planning, and liaise with HMRC and customers to deliver compliant, timely responses.

Qualifications

Proven ability to lead high-performing teams.
Strong understanding of HMRC regulations and paperwork.

Responsibilities

Lead, motivate and develop a Customs Team to deliver high performance.
Manage day-to-day customs operations, ensuring service levels and quality.
Ensure all import/export/transit declarations comply with HMRC and regulations.
Drive quality assurance and compliant processes across the operation.
Monitor regulatory changes and advise the team accordingly.
Foster strong relationships with customers and attend meetings as needed.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce waste.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support growth and innovative solutions.
Lead workforce planning and recruitment, onboarding and engagement.
Support commercial initiatives and customer implementations.
