Job summary

Kion Group AG in the UK is seeking a Customs Coordinator to manage import/export declarations for our UK operations and ensure compliance with customs rules and company policy. You will plan international transports cost-effectively and coordinate with brokers to optimise time and costs.

The role requires strong knowledge of UK/EU customs procedures, experience with CDS or similar systems, and solid IT skills. A proactive team player attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in UK / EU Customs regulations and procedures.
• Excellent working knowledge of UK Customs Tariff (I, II, III).
• Familiarity with quoting and processing multi-modal international freight bookings.
• Experience with HMRC CDS, ASM Sequoia or AEB, Destin8 and Pentant.
• Proven commercial background with a strong understanding of business operations.
• Strong IT skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the timely and accurate completion of Import & Export Customs Declarations.
• Provide 3rd party customs brokers with precise clearance instructions.
• Classification of materials/products.
• Create and manage Customer NOVA and Import VAT/Duty Reports.
• Quote and process multi-modal international freight bookings efficiently.
• Ensure all customer needs are met adhering to Compliance Controls.
• Perform all other duties related to the process of customs clearing consignments through customs.
