Job summary

Tradeweb, based in London, is seeking a Legal Contract Negotiator to manage vendor contracts, review and draft commercial agreements, and ensure regulatory compliance across UK/EU frameworks. The role collaborates with global teams to balance legal protections with business speed.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in-house experience, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and strong communication skills essential for cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced financial tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in an in-house legal department.
• Strong experience with reviewing, analyzing, drafting, communicating, and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Experience with UK and EU regulatory frameworks (UK GDPR, EU GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, DORA).

Responsibilities

• Contract review and negotiation of SaaS agreements, event contracts, data licenses, and other commercial agreements.
• Advise internal teams on contract status, interpreting legal risks, and providing pragmatic solutions.
• Foster positive relationships with vendor legal departments and third parties.
• Oversee the contract lifecycle, manage data in a contract management system, and report on key terms.
• Develop and update standard form templates, contract playbooks, and training tools for procurement teams.
