Job summary

MERJE is seeking a Senior Compliance Operations Manager to build and lead a centralised Global Control Room in London. This newly created role focuses on transformation, consolidating activities across regions into a consistent global framework, and delivering a lean, high-performing team.

You will oversee key areas such as MAR/PAD, conflicts, information barriers and market conduct, while driving automation and process improvements within a fast-paced financial market environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Compliance Operations/Control Room within financial services.
• Strong knowledge of MAR, PAD, conflicts and market conduct.
• Experience building or centralising a Control Room or compliance operations.
• Experience in fast-paced trading or financial markets environment.
• Proactive, hands-on and capable of owning a major build project.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a centralised Global Control Room function.
• Establish operating model, controls, governance and procedures.
• Oversee Personal Account Dealing, Conflicts of Interest, Information Barriers, Insider/Restricted Lists and Market Conduct activities.
• Review existing compliance systems and identify automation opportunities.
• Build and manage a small, high-performing team as the function grows.
• Collaborate with Compliance and senior stakeholders across jurisdictions.
