Job summary

G MASS Consulting, partnering with a leading Hedge Fund, seeks a Compliance professional to join its global Compliance function in London. The role blends BAU control room responsibilities with data-driven process improvements, delivering timely restriction list management, position limit monitoring, and sanctions governance.

Ideal candidates combine process knowledge with genuine data fluency, including hands-on SQL and a willingness to automate.

Qualifications

• Experience in compliance/control room operations or related roles.
• Strong data analysis and SQL skills.
• Hands-on Python is a plus but not required.
• Ability to document requirements and work with tech teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and administer restriction lists and watch lists with accuracy and timely updates.
• Monitor position limits across asset classes; investigate breaches and data anomalies.
• Support information barriers and MNPI controls including wall-crossing governance.
• Assist sanctions screening and disclosures, including large/short position reporting.
• Serve as a day-to-day contact for restriction, limit, and conflicts queries.
• Build SQL-based reports and tools to improve data quality and reduce manual processing.
• Document and refine control room procedures and workflows.
• Gather requirements and collaborate with technology to improve data feeds and tooling.
• Drive end-to-end process and data improvement initiatives.
