Job summary

Formula 1 is seeking a Commercial Development Executive to join our Race Promotion team. You will support evaluation, development and execution of race opportunities across Formula 1, reporting to the Senior Commercial Development Manager.

Key duties include market analysis, renewal strategy, and financial modelling for promoter negotiations while contributing to long‑term strategy and calendar evolution. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in high‑performance roles and an international outlook.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from a top university is required.
1–3 years experience in high‑performance cross‑functional roles (sports, strategy, consulting etc.).
International outlook with geopolitics awareness, and languages relevant to key F1 markets.

Responsibilities

Perform strategic analysis of potential new markets (commercial viability, political landscape).
Monitor markets and news to guide engagement with local contacts.
Draft briefing packs for senior leadership ahead of meetings with prospective race hosts.
Track the pipeline of prospective race opportunities and ensure visibility of status and next steps.
Develop opportunity assessment processes (evaluation frameworks, selection criteria).
Inform renewal strategy and deal priorities by analysing commercial metrics and event feedback.
Prepare materials including financial modelling for negotiations with promoters.
Develop materials for senior leadership forums on long‑term strategy and calendar evolution.
Contribute to high‑priority projects across the Race Promotion team.
