Job summary

ABB Ltd is seeking a Factory Certification Engineer to lead certification programs for products and manufacturing processes. You will liaise with customers and notified bodies, manage assessments, and drive internal audits to strengthen compliance across the site.

The role requires engineering qualifications, ISO9001 auditing knowledge, and strong English communication. You will work with cross-functional teams to maintain regulatory conformity and support EU declarations of conformity.

Qualifications

• Experience in product certification, regulatory compliance or a similar engineering role.
• Degree (or equivalent) in engineering or relevant technical discipline.
• ISO9001 Lead Auditor with knowledge of managing an Audit program.
• Experience with UL, CSA, FM, MCERTS, Marine or drinking water approvals is advantageous.
• Experience preparing and reviewing technical files and conformity documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate factory and product certification programs through the product life cycle.
• Liaise with customers to support preparation and hosting of Factory Acceptance Tests.
• Act as the primary contact for notified bodies, managing assessments and responding to technical queries, observations and non-conformances.
• Lead internal audits, regulatory inspections and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen certification processes.
• Maintain and improve the sites Quality Management System to ensure continued compliance with international, national and customer standards.
• Review technical documentation to support EU Declarations of Conformity and other regulatory requirements.
