Job summary

ABB UK is seeking a Quality Manager in Stonehouse to lead and coordinate product certification programs, support factory acceptance tests, and liaise with notified bodies to manage assessments. You will drive internal audits, maintain the Quality Management System to comply with international and customer standards, and review technical documentation for Declarations of Conformity.

Qualifications

• Experience in product certification, regulatory compliance or a similar engineering role.
• ISO9001 Lead Auditor knowledge of managing an Audit program.
• Experience with global or industry-specific certifications such as UL, CSA, FM, MCERTS, Marine or drinking water approvals would be advantageous.
• Experience preparing and reviewing technical files, certification applications and conformity assessment documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead and Coordinate factory and product certification programs through the product life cycle.
• Liaise with customers to support with the preparation and hosting of Factory Acceptance Tests.
• Act as the primary contact for notified bodies, managing assessments and responding to technical queries, observations and non-conformances.
• Lead internal audits, regulatory inspections and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen certification processes.
• Maintain and improve the sites Quality Management System to ensure continued compliance with International, national and customer specific standards.
• Review technical documentation to support EU Declarations of Conformity and other regulatory requirements.
