Job summary

Modcon Systems is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth across hydrogen, industrial gases, refining and energy sectors. You will lead strategic opportunities from first contact through contract award and build partnerships with EPC contractors, system integrators and distributors.

Frequent UK travel is required; a degree in Engineering, Business or related technical discipline, a full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK are essential.

• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to understand complex technical solutions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Ability to build relationships at all organisational levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
• Identify and qualify new business opportunities across hydrogen, industrial gases, refining, petrochemical, chemical, power and energy sectors.
• Develop relationships with EPC contractors, system integrators, OEMs, technology providers and end users.
• Establish and manage strategic partnerships and distributor networks.
• Develop key accounts and expand business with existing customers.
• Lead complex technical and commercial sales opportunities from initial contact through contract award.
• Develop sales strategies for target markets and priority accounts.
• Coordinate bid strategies and commercial negotiations.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, forecasts and opportunity plans.
• Achieve agreed sales and profitability targets.
