Job summary

CEPI is seeking a Global Business Development Lead to join its Access and Business Development division. Based in London or Washington DC, the role acts as a global expert in business development and alliance management, driving CEPI’s strategy to enable faster and more equitable vaccine development and supply.

Reporting to the Head of Business Development Disease X, this 12-month fixed-term position leads cross-functional teams, negotiates complex transactions, and forges strategic partnerships

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred for this senior role.
• Requires minimum 10+ years' experience in biotech/pharmaceutical commercial functions.
• Requires minimum 15+ years’ experience in due diligence, negotiations and collaborations/licensing.
• Experience leading strategic transactions and alliance management.
• Experience working internationally, especially with the Global South, is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Creates opportunities for initial investment and increased collaboration with external development teams.
• Frames funding mechanisms and deals, negotiates terms to closure.
• Leads matrix project teams and cross-functional groups to meet milestones.
• Builds sustainable partnerships to advance CEPI’s objectives.
• Provides strategic advice on business development and alliance management.
• Collaborates with divisions to improve BD processes.

Education

Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree preferred
