Job summary

Clearwater Analytics is seeking an Associate General Counsel – International to guide legal, compliance, and risk management for its global operations outside the United States. The role supports regulatory compliance, data privacy, contract negotiations, and governance for international business units and regional leadership.

Qualifications

• LLB, JD or equivalent with license to practice in at least one jurisdiction.
• Minimum 3 years post-qualification legal experience, ideally including international/cross-border transactional law.
• Experience navigating multi-jurisdictional regulatory environments (e.g., EU, UK, APAC).
• Ability to work independently and drive tasks to completion with creative solutions while managing multiple projects in a deadline-driven, global environment.
• Fluency in French required.

Responsibilities

• Provides legal, compliance, and risk management guidance for Clearwater's international business, including contract negotiation and privacy across jurisdictions.
• Reviews legal data and advises on appropriate legal action across international markets.
• Coordinates litigation and matters handled by outside counsel in non-U.S. jurisdictions.
• Demonstrates experience in cross-border commercial matters and licenses/agreements for international technology, software, and services.
• Collaborates with the Chief Legal Officer to support growth and governance of Clearwater's international legal footprint.
• Monitors international legal changes and provides updates and training to the business.
