Job summary

Meta seeks an experienced Associate General Counsel, Civil Litigation to lead a broad docket of complex civil disputes with emphasis on privacy and GDPR issues, including collective and multi-party actions. The role spans Germany and other jurisdictions, requiring fluency in German and English and close collaboration with Legal, Compliance, Policy, and business teams.

Qualifications

• Qualified to practice law in Germany with substantial civil litigation experience.
• Fluent in German and English for cross-border proceedings.
• Experience handling complex civil disputes and EU frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Owning end-to-end litigation strategy for complex civil matters in Germany and other jurisdictions.
• Lead on privacy and GDPR litigation, including collective and multi-party actions.
• Manage outside counsel to align strategy with business objectives and budgets.
• Advise on pre-litigation dispute resolution and injunction practice.
• Coordinate with Product, Operations, Policy and Communications teams on litigation risk.
