Job summary

Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions, part of Spirax Group, is seeking an Applications Engineering Manager to lead a global team across EMEA, APAC and the US. You will drive agile design for single-use assemblies, engage with sales and customers, and ensure quality and continuous improvement in a fast-paced biopharma environment.

You will shape pricing, lifecycle management, and product development, while fostering collaboration across functions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related discipline; equivalent industry experience.
• Strong understanding of biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
• Proven leadership of high-performing teams delivering commercial results.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed or international teams.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems in manufacturing/engineering.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for global stakeholders.
• Collaborative mindset with cross-functional teams.
• Desirable familiarity with regulatory frameworks and single-use tech.

Responsibilities

• Lead the global Applications Engineering team across EMEA, APAC and the US.
• Own pricing/quoting for WMArchitect products (with exceptions).
• Drive design transfer to manufacturing and lifecycle management.
• Develop new products/processes to support growth strategy.
• Set objectives, provide feedback, and identify training needs.
• Plan resources and recruit to grow the team.
• Champion safety culture and training for sales and stakeholders.
