Job summary

Development and Alumni Relations Office at the University of Birmingham seeks an Events Officer to deliver both in-person and online events for our global alumni, donors and volunteers. The role supports the Birmingham in Action campaign and requires coordinating venues, speakers, budgets and communications.

We offer a dynamic team, an induction and ongoing training, and opportunities to shape a creative events programme with senior stakeholders across the University.

Qualifications

• Educated to Degree level or equivalent qualifications.
• Significant experience delivering complex events.
• Ability to plan strategically and manage multiple projects.
• Strong written and oral communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the overall DARO events programme for alumni, donors and volunteers.
• Support the Events Programme Manager in planning and delivery of events.
• Identify venues, speakers, invitations, and budgets for events.
• Coordinate registrations and manage event communications and follow-ups.
• Promote equality, diversity and inclusion in event planning and delivery.
