Job summary

ALPI UK in Colnbrook is seeking an Air Freight Coordinator to manage international shipments from origin to destination. You will handle bookings, documentation, customs activity and shipment updates, collaborating with clients, network partners and airlines.

The role requires experience in air freight operations, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Excel. Office-based hours are Monday to Friday, with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate bookings with network partners, UK clients and internal teams from origin to destination.
• Ensure shipments follow trade regulations and complete customs documentation accurately.
• Quote shipments, obtain partner quotations and support rate negotiations.
• Build airline relationships and arrange cargo bookings.
• Prepare accurate Airway Bill pre-alerts and export documentation.
• Complete air freight jobs on time, follow SOPs and use the operational system correctly.
• Apply HMRC UK Trade Tariff knowledge and manage deferment requirements.
• Process invoices, verify insurance and escalate claims as needed.
• Produce timely reports and maintain communication with network and sales teams.
• Suggest workflow improvements and contribute to air product strategies.
