Job summary

The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is inviting applications for a Trust Doctor in Glaucoma within the Department of Ophthalmology. The post is primarily based at Seacroft Hospital with some sessions at St James's University Hospital, commencing Nov/Dec 2026.

You must be GMC-registered and licensed to practice by the start date. Join our Ophthalmology (Glaucoma) team to deliver high-quality care, contribute to teaching and research, and work within a supportive multidisciplinary environment

Qualifications

Fully registered with the General Medical Council and licensed to practice by start date.
FRCOphth (or equivalent) and at least four years of higher specialist training.
Interest in glaucoma and ophthalmology with commitment to patient care.
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and contribute to teaching.

Responsibilities

Join the Ophthalmology (Glaucoma) team and support consultants in delivering a high-quality tertiary glaucoma service.
Work across Glaucoma clinics and the Ophthalmology ARC, with sessions at Seacroft Hospital and St James's University Hospital.
Collaborate with GMU technicians and other clinical teams to enhance patient care.
Develop increasing autonomy while contributing to teaching and a research portfolio.
