Job summary

Thales in Glasgow is offering a 4-year Manufacturing Apprentice – Modern Apprenticeship in Manufacturing (Scotland). Start date is 16th August 2027 with a salary of £24,000 per annum. This permanent programme combines college study with real on‑the‑job experience to develop Manufacturing Technician skills.

You will progress through hands-on training, product build, testing, and problem solving, with rotations across production, assembly and test environments.

Qualifications

• 2 Highers in English and Maths at level B or above.
• 5 National 5s including English, Maths and a Science subject at Grade C or above.
• Live and work in Scotland for the duration of the programme.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the build and manufacture of products.
• Undertaking product testing and validation activities.
• Assisting with engineering investigations and problem solving.
• Visiting customer sites, platforms and installations to support surveys, trials and system deployment where required.
• Working with experienced technicians on live projects.
