Job summary

Thales in Glasgow is seeking a Manufacturing Technician – Wiring to join the OME unit. You will work a 4-day week (Mon–Thu), 37 hours, with start times between 6:00 and 7:30, and 30 minutes for lunch. The role involves wiring and building electrical assemblies to drawings at the Glasgow site.

Key tasks include logging incidents, applying IPC standards, and using ERP/Palma tools. The position offers on-site parking, an on-site canteen, and the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Experience in wiring and building electrical assemblies.
• Ability to interpret drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Experience performing complex electrical operations to IPC standards.
• Eligible to obtain full SC clearance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure incidents are logged and escalated to H&S leaders as appropriate.
• Escalate health and safety issues to the Work Cell Manager.
• Perform complex manufacturing operations per documentation to quality standards.
• Adhere to company processes for all tasks.
• Perform self-assessment and approval of products.
• Input and support continuous improvement actions within Industry.
• Detect faults or non-conformities and raise alerts; assist with diagnostics and root-cause analysis.
• Manage and record build configuration of the product.
• Use company tools (ERP, Palma, etc.) for product assembly tasks.
