Job summary

Soben seeks an experienced Contract Manager to join our Glasgow team, delivering commercial and procurement strategies across major capital projects. You will manage NEC3/NEC4 contracts, lead procurement, and oversee financial reporting while supporting biodiversity net gain initiatives.

Essentially, you will drive cost control, negotiations, and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful project delivery within budget and schedule.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience managing contracts on capital projects.
• Strong understanding of NEC3/NEC4 contracts and applications.
• Experience in cost planning, budgeting, procurement, tendering, payments, and final accounts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre- and post-contract commercial support across projects.
• Administer NEC3/NEC4 contracts and manage performance, changes, and final accounts.
• Lead procurement activities from market engagement to award and close-out.
• Support compensatory planting and biodiversity net gain initiatives.
• Maintain project cost forecasts, budgets, and financial reports.
• Negotiate land terms and manage related commercial matters.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and stakeholders to deliver outcomes.
