SSE plc in the United Kingdom is seeking a Contract Manager to join our Procurement and Commercial team within the Supply Chain function, supporting Network Operations. You will manage pre- and post‑contract commercial activities for major projects and help grow this portfolio.

The role suits a Quantity Surveyor with NEC knowledge and 5+ years' experience. You will travel to Aberdeen/Inverness/Glasgow/Perth and enjoy a competitive package with bonus options.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent with 5+ years post graduate experience.
• Experience in estimating, sourcing management, cost & budget management, and contract administration.
• Experience drafting and interpreting commercial contracts with NEC knowledge; RICS/CICES membership advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Negotiate contract terms for high-value Network Operations projects and manage delivery stage for value for money.
• Support asset handover and ensure robust service contracts for HVDC components during delivery.
• Shape strategies for future Network Operations requirements and identify new P&C opportunities.
• Negotiate prices and substantiate costs to provide value for money.
• Demonstrate stakeholder engagement, lead, influence and resolve disputes.
• Cost and forecast management with regular cost reporting and change control.
• Provide post-contract commercial management including compensation events.
• Comply with safety policies and promote safe working practices.
