Job summary

East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA) is seeking a Data Analyst – GIS Specialist to develop and deliver spatial analysis, mapping and intelligence that supports evidence-based decisions across transport, housing, and economic development. You will work within the Research and Intelligence Unit, creating GIS products and dashboards and supporting Esri GIS platform administration.

Qualifications

Current experience of GIS mapping and spatial analysis.
Experience developing and maintaining interactive maps, dashboards, story maps and other geospatial visualisations.
Knowledge and experience administering Esri licences and supporting GIS platform users.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate findings into insights.
Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building across teams and sectors.
Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

Lead collection, processing and analysis of spatial and non-spatial datasets across regional priorities.
Develop, maintain and publish interactive maps, dashboards, story maps and GIS products using Esri ArcGIS.
Support delivery of spatial analysis relating to housing, transport, economic development, net zero and digital infrastructure.
Produce clear visualisations, reports and presentations for diverse audiences.
Administer Esri licences and support GIS platform users and functionality.
Collaborate with policy teams and partners to develop evidence-based geospatial solutions.
Monitor trends and emerging opportunities with spatial implications for EMCCA portfolios.
Continuously improve data collection and mapping methodologies.
