Job summary

Burberry is seeking a German-speaking HR Operations Coordinator for a fixed-term maternity cover until September 2027. The role is based at the Queen Street office in Leeds with a hybrid pattern requiring four days in the office and one day from home.

You will manage HR administration across the employee lifecycle, handle onboarding changes, absence and departures, and collaborate with HR colleagues to ensure high-quality service and compliance across Burberry's European business.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR shared services, HR operations or HR administration.
• Working knowledge of HR processes and employment legislation.
• Fluency in English and German, both written and spoken.
• Service-focused approach with clear communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage accurate HR administration across the employee lifecycle, including contracts, new starter records, employee changes and departures.
• Resolve escalated HR queries covering processes, time and pay matters, and straightforward employee relations support.
• Partner with Employee Relations and HR Business Partners to provide guidance aligned with policies and local employment legislation.
• Prepare accurate documentation for formal employee processes and complete assigned work within service level agreements.
• Use HR data and colleague feedback to identify trends and improve the service experience.
• Build trusted relationships across the business, acting as escalation point for managers and supporting reward activity and HR projects.
