Job summary

Carwow is expanding its People Operations team and seeks a dedicated German Payroll Executive to own monthly German payroll and lifecycle tasks. You will answer German and English queries, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive process improvements with AI tools to speed up admin.

You’ll handle joiners, leavers and changes, maintain Hibob records, and help employees understand benefits. This role is ideal for detail-focused, proactive professionals in a fast-growing tech company.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in a People Operations / HR administration/payroll role.
• Hands-on experience processing German payroll and knowledge of regulations.
• Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
• Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Highly organised with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Willing to use AI tools to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end processing of monthly German payroll accurately and on time.
• Be the first point of contact for German payroll questions in German and English.
• Administer benefits for German employees and lifecycle tasks (onboarding, changes, leavers).
• Maintain HRIS data (Hibob) and support reporting and audits.
• Identify improvements and implement streamlined processes and self-serve docs.
