Job summary

Weatherford invites applications for an experienced Master Planner based in Aberdeen. The role focuses on developing and implementing comprehensive planning strategies for the Geozone, linking 3–12 month demand outlook to the 90-day plan, with no direct reports.

You will drive master scheduling, cross-functional collaboration, and performance reporting while ensuring alignment with global standards and local requirements; travel up to 30% is expected.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in planning, scheduling, or operations management roles within the oil and gas industry.
• Demonstrated experience with planning and resource management systems (SAP, Maximo, or similar ERP systems).
• Strong understanding of North Sea operations and the UKCS environment.
• Experience with lean methodologies and continuous improvement processes.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with cross-functional influence.
• Experience leading S&OP or integrated planning and converting demand into material, capacity and execution plans.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP processes (JDE or equivalent).
• Ability to provide functional leadership through dotted-line relationships without direct reporting authority.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain master schedules for all operational activities within the Geozone.
• Coordinate cross-functional planning between operations, maintenance, logistics, and support functions.
• Analyze historical data and forecast demand to optimize workforce and inventory planning.
• Implement and maintain planning systems and processes aligned with Weatherford standards.
• Collaborate with sales teams to align capacity with opportunities and commitments.
• Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts and bottlenecks.
• Develop KPIs and metrics to measure planning effectiveness and drive improvement.
• Provide regular reporting on performance and planning efficiency.
• Support emergency response planning and business continuity.
• Liaise with global planning teams to ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
• Lead the monthly Geozone S&OP demand-supply review.
