Job summary

Infocus Resources is seeking a site engineering professional to manage as-built drawings, QA processes, and setting-out activities on a geotechnical project. You will ensure accurate progress tracking, coordinate with on-site teams, and maintain drawing registers and RAMS documentation.

Responsibilities cover testing of workmanship, material records, and safe working practices while aligning with the Project Quality Plan. Relevant CSCS and SMSTS qualifications are required.

Qualifications

  • Academic qualification Level 3 or above (HNC/HND/degree).
  • Experience in geotechnical applications such as drilling, grouting, anchor installation, inspection and testing.
  • Awareness of commercial processes.
  • Good IT skills including CAD and BIM systems.
  • Familiar with Quality Management System and RAMS writing.
  • CSCS - White PQP/AQP
  • SMSTS

Responsibilities

  • Prepare 'as-built drawings' and maintain drawing register.
  • Establishing effective systems to record work completed updating the Project Quality Plan accordingly.
  • Manage systems to enable progress of work to be reviewed against time, quality, dimensions and quantity.
  • Assist in recording and testing workmanship and materials (drilling, grouting, anchoring).
  • Provide engineering support to ensure technical problems are overcome and technical queries are answered.
  • Responsible for setting out works constructed within allowable tolerances.
  • Ensure the workforce understands setting out information for the type of work being carried out.
  • Manage the preparation of sketches for distribution on site, ensuring clear communication channels.
  • Maintain setting out and dimensional control for accurate construction.
  • Assist in implementing KierBam Safety, Health, and Environmental Management System for a safe working environment.
  • Record instructions and maintain drawing register.

Job description

Due to the sensitive nature of the site, BPSS security clearance is required. Please note that this process can take up to 8 weeks.

Eligibility criteria: Many positions within the project are subject to national security clearance restrictions. This means that your eligibility for certain roles may be affected by your place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and any residency you hold or have held.

Key Responsibilties:
  • Manage in the preparation of 'as-built drawings'.
  • Establishing effective systems to record work completed updating the Project Quality Plan accordingly.
  • To manage in managing systems to enable the progress of work to be reviewed against time, quality, dimensions and quantity.
  • Assist in the recording and testing of workmanship and materials, i.e., drilling, grouting & anchoring etc.
  • Provides engineering support to ensure technical problems are overcome and technical queries are answered.
  • Responsible for setting out works constructed within allowable tolerances.
  • Ensures workforce understand setting out information has been identified as suitable for the type of work being carried out.
  • Manage the preparation of sketches for distribution on site, ensuring clear communication channels are in place for effective understanding.
  • Responsible for providing and maintaining setting out and dimensional control, to ensure accurate construction of the work.
  • To be aware of the provisions of the KierBam Safety, Health, and Environmental Management System and to assist in its implementation to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Record instructions and maintain drawing register.
Role Requirements:
  • Academic Qualification (Level 3, or above ie HNC,HND, Degree)
  • Experience in various geotechnical applications such as drilling, grouting, anchor installation, inspection and testing is essential.
  • Awareness of commercial processes.
  • Good standard of IT skills including, CAD and BIM systems
  • Familiar with Quality Management System and familiar in writing RAMS.
  • CSCS - White PQP/AQP
  • SMSTS
