Job summary

AECOM's Ground Engineering Apprentice programme in London offers hands-on experience while pursuing a Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship in Civil Engineering or Geoscience. You’ll work with geotechnical engineers, gain exposure to desk studies, site investigations and data interpretation, and develop technical skills within a structured apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• GCSEs with Maths and English at grade 4/C or above.
• Three A-Levels or equivalent including Maths and a physical science.
• Interest in geology, geotechnics and the built environment.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with desk studies and site investigations.
• Support planning, procurement and supervision of ground investigations.
• Help analyse geological and geotechnical data.
• Contribute to ground models and interpretative reports.
• Assist with assessments of foundations, earthworks, slope stability and retaining structures.
• Use OpenGround and Leapfrog for project work.
• Participate in site visits and fieldwork across the UK.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams and grow professionally.
