Job summary

Arup in the North of the UK is seeking Geotechnical Engineers to join our established ground engineering team. You will deliver geotechnical work for projects spanning energy, water, transport and built environment, acting as the focal point between design and construction partners.

You will hold a degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology with an ICE qualification (or be working toward one) and bring experience in ground investigations and geotechnical software to support robust,

Qualifications

• Recognised tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology.
• Professional qualification with ICE or working towards one.
• Experience in geotechnical design for foundations, earthworks and slopes.
• Experience of desktop studies, ground investigation planning and interpretation of results.
• Experience using geotechnical software such as OpenGround, Leapfrog and PLAXIS.

Responsibilities

• Deliver geotechnical engineering work for projects across energy, water, transport and built environment.
• Act as focal point between design and construction partners to ensure robust solutions.
• Develop ground models and provide practical recommendations for project teams.
• Support senior engineers and contribute to project delivery and client relationships.
