Job summary

Arup's Ground Engineering team in the North of the UK invites geotechnical engineers to deliver challenging projects across energy, water, transport and infrastructure. You will work from early ground investigations through to design and construction, coordinating with teams in Belfast, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle, and other offices.

This role emphasizes collaboration, technical delivery, and growth within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology with relevant professional status.
• Proven experience in geotechnical design for foundations and earthworks.
• Experience with ground investigation planning and interpretation of lab/field results.

Responsibilities

• Deliver geotechnical engineering work for diverse projects across energy, water, transport and built environment.
• Lead ground investigation from early site through to design and construction phases.
• Collaborate with design and construction partners to solve technical challenges.
• Communicate with clients to understand needs and deliver reports and solutions.
