Job summary

Ayesa Engineering is seeking a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to join the Geotechnical division in Guildford, UK. You will work as part of a project team to deliver technically robust geotechnical designs that meet client briefs, while supporting tender activity and on-site inspection activities.

The role offers hybrid working within a global consultancy, with opportunities to develop broad expertise across geoscience, environmental services, and building structures as part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1-year design experience in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
Detailed knowledge of Eurocodes and current engineering codes of practice.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work to deadlines and excellent planning and organisation skills.
Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Work as a member of a project team to deliver quality services to clients.
Ensure geotechnical designs comply with set standards and recommendations are robust, value-based and commissionable.
Ensure designs are delivered on time and fulfil client briefs.
Inspect construction work to ensure design implementation is correct.
Monitor processes and results to comply with safety, legal, ethical and regulatory requirements.
Assist at tender stage of projects.
