Job summary

Ciwmjobs is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer in Leicester for a permanent role involving field and office work. You will contribute to geotechnical and ground investigation projects across sectors, supporting from site investigations to reporting and delivery.

The role requires a degree in Geotechnical/Engineering Geology or related fields, with strong report writing and communication skills, and a willingness to travel for site work. Hybrid working arrangements are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in geotechnical or geoenvironmental consultancy.
• Knowledge of ground investigation techniques and geotechnical assessment practices.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertake and supervise ground investigation works across sites.
• Coordinate site operations and maintain technical standards.
• Log soil and rock samples; prepare factual and interpretative geotechnical reports.
• Assist with geotechnical risk assessments and foundation recommendations.
• Support Phase I and Phase II site investigations as required.
• Manage subcontractors and site contractors during project delivery.
• Monitor progress to meet deadlines and budgets.
