Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join its Coventry-based team. You will contribute to ground investigation and geotechnical projects across residential, commercial, infrastructure and development sectors, supporting fieldwork and office activities from site investigations to reporting.

The successful candidate will work on a range of projects, with opportunities for career development within a dynamic environment and flexible hybrid working.

Qualifications

• Experience in geotechnical, engineering geology, or geo-environmental consultancy.
• Understanding of ground investigation techniques and geotechnical assessment methodologies.
• Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Geology, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of geotechnical standards, regulations and industry best practice.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.
• Excellent organisation and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Commercial awareness and proactive project delivery.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Support fieldwork and office-based activities from site investigation through to reporting.
• Assist with site investigations, data collection and technical analyses for projects.
• Contribute to a varied portfolio across residential, commercial, infrastructure and development sectors.
