Job summary

Our client is a well-established nationwide ground and geotechnical engineering contractor, delivering geotechnical, geo-environmental and site investigation services to a wide client base.

The Geotechnical Engineer / Geo-Environmental Engineer will analyse findings and convey this information into well documented reports, manage site operations, supervise drilling and sampling, and work across site, office and home environments to support diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geology, Civil Engineering, Earth Sciences or a related subject.
• Post-graduation practical or relevant experience in geotechnical/geo-environmental sectors.
• Knowledge of ground investigation techniques and BS5930.
• Experience with data management software and reporting.
• Proficient IT skills; able to work independently or in a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication; attention to detail.
• Ability to deliver reports to deadlines and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Analyse findings and convey information into well documented reports.
• Produce factual or interpretive reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage site operations and supervise drilling and sampling.
• Coordinate intrusive investigations and manage subcontractors.
• Read and interpret project specifications and drawings.
• Plan and organise workload with minimal supervision.
